Brave Step

How We Can Help

At Brave Step, we know that everyone's idea of a good life looks different. That's why we take the time to get to know you, understand what's important to you, and provide support that fits your goals, routines and interests.

Whether you need support at home, out in the community, or while building your independence, we're here to walk beside you every step of the way.

Community Access

Getting out into the community is about more than just leaving the house. We support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, attend appointments, build confidence and stay connected with family, friends and their local community.

Daily Living Skills

We’re here to help you build the skills that matter most to you. That might be learning to cook, managing your money, shopping independently, keeping on top of household tasks or building routines that help you feel more confident in everyday life.

Social & Recreational Activities

Everyone deserves to have fun and feel connected. We support people to enjoy hobbies, attend events, play sport, catch up with friends, explore new interests or simply spend time doing the things they love.

Household Support

We can assist with everyday household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and maintaining a safe, comfortable home, while encouraging as much independence as possible.

Travel & Transport

Whether it’s getting to appointments, work, education, social activities or simply getting out and about, we provide safe and reliable transport support and can also help build confidence using public transport.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

For people living in, or wanting to move into, a Supported Independent Living home, we provide personalised support with day-to-day living. This includes personal care, meal preparation, medication support, household routines, overnight support, community participation and developing the skills to live as independently as possible.

Individualised Living Options (ILO)

We understand that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to where and how people live. We work alongside participants, families and support networks to create living arrangements that reflect each person’s goals, preferences and lifestyle.

Positive Behaviour Support

Where a participant has a Behaviour Support Plan, our team is trained to implement it safely and respectfully, always focusing on reducing restrictive practices over time and supporting positive outcomes.
